Immigration Regulations Explained to Students at CIU

An Immigration Information Presentation was held at Cyprus International University (CIU) by the Police General Directorate to inform students about immigration procedures and their legal obligations. The presentation addressed the issues students need to pay attention to in order to maintain their legal status in the country and complete immigration procedures correctly.

The presentation covered student residence permit applications, required documents, health checks, completion of the application process, and monitoring visa validity periods. The importance of providing accurate and complete address information during applications, carrying valid identification or passports, and refraining from using identity documents belonging to others was emphasized. Attention was also drawn to the potential consequences of overstaying a visa, failing to complete residence permit procedures, and working without authorization.

During the presentation, students’ questions regarding immigration procedures were also answered. The importance of keeping track of legal deadlines and completing the necessary procedures on time was highlighted. The event concluded after students’ questions had been addressed.
