Digital Universities Europe Conference 2025
CIU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Erbuğ Çelebi was invited to contribute to the Digital Universities Europe 2025 Conference as a speaker which was organized by Times Higher Education in Wroclaw, Poland on March 10th -12th , 2025 will bring together higher education, industry and policy leaders from different European countries working to accelerate change in teaching and learning, assessment, administration and the student experience. The conference focused on digital transformation and the use of artificial intelligence technologies in higher education.
In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Çelebi shared with the participants the projects materialized and that are planned for future studies in the field of artificial intelligence at CIU. Çelebi provided information about the systems developed by using large language models and the use of this technology in different areas, and evaluated the impact of artificial intelligence on higher education.
Referring to the artificial intelligence projects implemented at CIU, Çelebi provided detailed information about applications such as Chatbot and Language Models, Optimizing Exam Schedules, Tracking Student Success, Petition Management System and Personalized Learning.
Çelebi emphasized the critical role of data management in the success of artificial intelligence systems, and stated that data should be kept in the correct format and used effectively. He also exemplified how a data-driven management approach can contribute to more transparent and effective decision-making processes in universities.
The conference organized by Times Higher Education featured more than 80 presentations, workshops and exhibitions on digital technologies in higher education; brought together university administrators and technology experts and provided an important platform for discussion on the opportunities offered by digital technologies and artificial intelligence in higher education.
