A meaningful exhibition on women’s rights

CIU hosted a meaningful exhibition to draw attention to women's rights. The event that took place on March 24th, 2025 Monday was organized by the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling students Yaren Güven, Derya Özgür and Zeynep Topal.

The exhibition featured silhouettes of women who were deprived of their right to life along with their names and the causes of their deaths. This powerful visual narrative aimed to raise awareness about femicide in society.

These posters not only emphasized women's rights to equality and the right to live freely but also provided detailed information about official support mechanisms that can be resorted to in cases of violence and discrimination. The exhibition housed a  "Hope Corner" that was open to visitors throughout the day.

This section was a call for support for the struggle for gender equality. met with great University students, academic staff and visitors with different backgrounds showed great interest. The students who organized the exhibition emphasized their determination to continue their fight for the protection of women's rights and the achievement of gender equality.
